The CLEO Institute’s annual climate symposium invites world-renowned speakers to discuss critical topics related to the climate crisis & innovative solutions available to tackle it. Last year’s symposium attracted an international audience of over 500 people, with top-level keynotes. Our 2022 symposium is in partnership with the University of Miami’s Abess Center for Ecosystem Science and Policy. Our 2022 symposium is fully virtual.
The event will kick off with a keynote by Dr. Amy Zanne presenting the critical state of our biodiversity. It will then be followed by five experts presenting top climate solutions in food, energy, gender equality, cities, and education. Delivered in TED-talk style form, each speaker will present their area of expertise followed by a discussion with their moderator and audience Q & A. We aim to highlight the most robust pathways to decarbonization to tackle the climate emergency in an intersectional way while showing the additional co-benefits and positive ripple effects these changes can bring to our society.
