Why is GenCLEO organizing a Lobby Day?

Florida is the most vulnerable state in the nation to climate impacts, and we need to protect our common home.

At The CLEO Institute, we help our youth connect the dots and understand the urgency of climate impacts, to be prepared and empowered to advocate for climate action and policy.

GenCLEO, CLEO’s Youth Advocacy Movement, is organizing Lobby Day on March 22nd to collectively lobby bills related to Climate Change, its causes, impacts, and solutions, and to build youth power across Florida.

GenCLEO Lobby Day gives young activists the opportunity and confidence to interpret complex policy, understand the legislative process and lobby elected officials.

How is GenCLEO arriving to The Florida Capitol?

The CLEO Institute’s main office is located in Miami, Florida.

Our GenCLEO members and participants from South Florida will charter a bus on March 21st. The charter bus departs from Miami, stopping at Orlando and arriving in Tallahassee.

GenCLEO and participants from Central Florida will also be going to Tallahassee on March 21st.

What happens during GenCLEO Lobby Day?

Training and support will take place on March 21st and 22nd.
On March 22nd, GenCLEO will hold a Press Conference. Youth Caucus will follow this.
