In 2010, Caroline Lewis, a science teacher, and high school principal responded to a plea by local scientists: AMPLIFY the climate change conversation. Climate scientists were highlighting the urgency of the science, yet the public seemed to be paying little or no attention. As a proven education strategist who can engage disengaged audiences, Caroline set out to address climate literacy, promote climate action, and build climate leadership. By design, CLEO (Climate Leadership Engagement Opportunities) set out to effectively reach diverse audiences, from concerned residents to elected officials, and everyone in between.
