“It may just get reported as something different, because some people may want to skirt any attention or having any regulations,” Glickman said. “And then there’s going to be other times where people just don’t realize what the cause of death was.”
With 90% of Duke Energy Florida’s generation mix coming from these polluting sources, it’s yet another proof point that we must transition to cheaper, cleaner energy solutions to both protect our pocketbooks and our health.

Workshops, forums, and hands-on activities throughout the week will highlight solutions such as resilient infrastructure to mitigate flooding, strategies to address extreme heat, emerging climate research, and neighborhood-level nature-based solutions.
