We know students learn from both education and modeled behavior, so let us lead by example in a way that helps ensure a safe, healthy, and sustainable future for our communities. By participating in The CLEO Institute’s Walkathon/5K event, students can earn volunteer hours while also gaining valuable environmental education.
As leaders, it is our responsibility to set a positive example and prioritize the preservation of natural resources for a sustainable future for Miami-Dade County’s children. It is up to each and every one of us to protect the environment for our children and future generations that call Miami home. The unique biodiversity that exists in South Florida, from stunning beaches to the natural habitats of the Everglades is what makes Miami special to our community and visitors.
Are we ‘Walking the Talk’ and taking action to protect our environment as individuals, families, businesses, communities, school districts and county?
It is not enough to only be environmentally active on Earth Day. As a community, we must prioritize nature and the preservation of natural resources. Remember, all funds support environmental and educational efforts in the county. By participating, you are demonstrating your commitment to this important cause.
