WEATHER / TRAIL CONDITIONS
Please note the weather conditions expected for the event are Partly Sunny with temperatures ranging from low 70 – mid 80’s, and high humidity… dress accordingly, and make sure to stay hydrated. We will have 4 water stations throughout the event and trail.
Walkers & general audience: please bring your own reusable bottles as no single-use plastic beverage bottles will be available at the event. Let’s truly ‘Walk The Talk”!
Runners: we got you covered. Volunteers will be handing you water on the trail in compostable paper bamboo cups.
Finally, don’t forget to bring hats, sunscreen, and comfortable running or walking shoes. The trail is mostly paved with the last mile being compacted gravel and offers enough shade, making it pretty comfortable.
BEYOND THE TRAIL
The CLEO Institute is very excited to welcome everyone to this 5K Earth Day celebration! We look forward to sharing an array of educational information & presentations to raise community awareness regarding our changing climate & environment. In addition, we will also hear from Miami-Dade County Mayor, Daniella Levine-Cava; Miami-Dade County School’s Superintendent, Jose Dotres; City of Miami (D2) Commissioner, Sabina Covo, and others on their sustainability and climate efforts. So please take the time after your -run or walk- to stay around for the programming part and the showcase that many students and organizations have put together.
It is also up to all of us, to truly “walk the talk’ for our planet, Miami, and our kids’ future!
